Breakfast By The Slice

Maple syrup is spread on a pizza crust and topped with scrambled eggs, sausage, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, and optional jalapenos.
Ingredients
- 1 12" baked (thin) pizza crust
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 5 large eggs, scrambled
- 8 oz mild breakfast sausage, cooked, drained and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 small jalapeno pepper, diced (optional)

Method
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a vented pizza pan with parchment baking paper. Place the crust on the pan and then with a spatula evenly spread the maple syrup as if you were spreading pizza sauce on the crust. Add remaining ingredients evenly over the crust in the following order: Scrambled eggs, Sausage, Cheeses, diced jalapeno (optional), then dash the top with salt and pepper. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 minutes. Remove pizza from oven let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
