Carolina Casserole

This casserole is made of canned green peas, cream of mushroom soup, pimientos, water chestnuts and cheddar cheese spread in a baking dish and topped with buttered Ritz cracker crumbs.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz. can green peas, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 small jar pimientos, drained
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 roll Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1 stick margarine, melted

Method

Mix peas, soup, chestnuts, pimientos and cheddar and spread in a baking dish sprayed with Pam. Mix cracker crumbs and margarine; sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or till heated.
