|1 lb||Rigatoni, or other hearty pasta|
|8 oz||Various Nacho or Taco Cheeses|
|1 pt||Half & Half|
|½ cup||Italian Flavored Bread Crumbs|
|1 Tbsp||Diced Jalapeno Peppers or Chiles|
Cook the pasta until only partially done, and drain.
Oil a 13 x 9 glass baking dish.
Cut stick of butter into small chunks and place in bottom of baking dish.
Spread partially cooked pasta into baking dish.
Stir the butter into the pasta.
Salt the pasta.
Add black pepper, basil, garlic and onion powder to pasta.
Sprinkle the cheese over the pasta, spreading evenly over the top.
Sprinkle the bread crumbs evenly on top of the mixture.
Drizzle half and half over the entire mixture slowly, dampening the entire mixture evenly.
Spread the jalapeno peppers or chiles over the top.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
Let sit for about 10 minutes prior to serving.
Kick up this recipe by serving with spicy salsa instead of stewed tomato chunks or add red pepper flakes to spices in recipe.
