Chef Salad Supreme

This traditional salad combines strips of meats, with vegetables, cheese, bacon, hard cooked eggs, croutons, and lettuce for a whole meal in one bowl.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 bag torn lettuce
  • 1 thick slice deli ham (1/2 lb)
  • 1 thick slice turkey (1/4 lb)
  • 1 thick slice cooked salami (1/4 lb)
  • 12 slices pepperoni for pizza
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 hard cooked eggs
  • 2 tomatoes, cut in wedges
  • 1/2 small red onion, thin sliced & separated into rings
  • 8 oz chunk provolone cheese
  • 8 oz chunk colby cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked
  • 1 cup croutons
  • Salad dressings of choice

Method

Wash and drain lettuce. Arrange lettuce on a large platter. Cut ham, turkey and salami into thin strips about 2-inches long. Cut cooled eggs into quarters. Arrange all of the ingredients except the bacon and croutons on the lettuce. Break bacon into pieces and sprinkle this and the croutons on top of the finished salad. Serve with dressing of choice.

 

Notes: A meal itself. Very filling and yet cool for a spring or summer meal.
