Chicken in Garlic sauce

Chicken pieces are cooked in a skillet, flavored with garlic and a hint of brandy.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. meaty Chicken pieces
  • 3 Tb. Olive oil
  • 1 whole head of garlic, peeled and minced
  • 3 Tb. Brandy
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup water

Method

Place chicken pieces in a skillet with heated oil. Cook about 5 minutes or till golden brown. Turn the heat to low. Carefully add brandy, garlic, pepper, and salt. Cook, covered, about 35 to 40 minutes or till done. Take out chicken, place on serving plate. Take Skillet and turn up the heat to medium-high. Add water; cook about 3 minutes to reduce the sauce. Pour over the chicken and serve.

 

Notes: You can use pork and shrimp instead of chicken.
