Method

In a large bowl mix together water, yeast, sugar, oregano, oil, and salt until ingredients are dissolved, using a wire whisk. Start adding flour to mixture, start with a cup and whisk it in to get it smooth. Use a wooden spoon and continue to stir in a little flour at a time until it starts to form a ball in bowl. Transfer to a floured surface and knead dough just until it doesn't stick to counter. Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours. Once doubled in size, punch dough down. Roll and press out into crust. Add desired toppings; bake in preheated oven at 450 degrees for approximately 10-15 minutes until crust is golden brown and cheese melted. Optional: For a Garlic Parmesan Crust, whisk in 1 to 3 cloves of minced garlic and 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese to mixture before adding flour. Add the oregano or omit it, as you wish.

Notes: To make a Dessert pizza, prepare dough without the oregano and toppings. Roll dough out, place on pan, then brush with some melted butter and sprinkle with some sugar & cinnamon; bake as normal.

Number of Servings: one pizza crust
