Creamette Casserole


Macaroni is cooked and layered in a casserole with bread crumbs, onion, pimiento, and Velveeta cheese. An egg and milk mixture is poured over and baked.



Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup bread crumbs  
  • 1 TBS grated onion  
  • 1/4 tsp Salt  
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper  
  • 1 tsp chopped Parsley
  • 1 small jar diced Pimento
  • 2 TBS melted Butter or margarine
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta Cheese, cut in cubes
  • 1 Cup Creamettes macaroni, cooked and drained  
  • 3 Eggs  
  • 1/2 cup Milk, warmed          

Method

Preheat oven to 350. Mix bread crumbs, onion, salt, pepper, parsley, pimiento, butter and cheese. Grease casserole dish. Layer Creamettes, and bread mixture. Combine beaten eggs and warmed milk and add last. Bake about 50 minutes.

Notes: We call this AUNT IRENE'S CREAMETTE CASSEROLE.
