Creamy Ham-Cheese Empanadas

This easy sandwiches are made with crescent roll dough that's filled with a sweetened cream cheese mixture containing ham and cheddar cheese.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked ham
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Method

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend cream cheese and 2 tablespoons brown sugar in bowl. Fold in ham and cheddar cheese. Unfold the crescent roll dough; separate dough into rectangles, sealing seams. Spoon mixture onto one half of the rectangle. Fold dough over and crimp edges. Bake rolls according to package until golden brown. Brush with melted butter.

 

Notes: These are quick and easy, and my family loves them. The warm cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and the sweet touch of brown sugar and ham--yum.
