This simple pasta dish combines cooked angel hair and shrimp with Creole seasoning and butter or margarine for a fast supper.

Ingredients

  • 4 servings Angel Hair pasta
  • 3 1/2 Tablespoons Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning (or to taste)
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter or margarine
  • about 32 fresh or frozen medium-size shrimp, thawed

Method

Boil water for pasta. Meanwhile, melt margarine in saute pan over medium heat; add thawed shrimp; saute over medium heat for about 3 minutes, then stir in Creole seasoning, continue to cook until pasta is done. Add pasta to boiling water, cook for 4 minutes (or until done), then drain. Place each serving of pasta on plate or in bowl, then distribute shrimp evenly, then pour butter/Creole mixture over pasta. Serve.

Notes: You can always use more or less Creole seasoning--depending on how hot you want it! I always add some extra butter or margarine to the pasta after draining so it doesn't stick together...and because I like the taste.
