Using refrigerated pizza crust makes this stromboli easy. Using ground turkey, bacon, spaghetti sauce, frozen spinach, and cheeses make it tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 5 slices bacon
  • 1 can Pillsbury refrigerated thin pizza crust
  • 1 cup spaghetti sauce
  • 1 10-oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 1/4 cup shredded Colby & Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup Feta Cheese (Kraft Crumbles)
  • 2 tsp. milk
  • 2-3 tsp. grated Parmesan

Method

1. Heat oven to 400. Brown the ground turkey in a skillet on the stove. While turkey browns, chop bacon into pieces and add to turkey. Finish cooking. Drain and set aside. 2. Unroll pizza crust and form into a 14x12" rectangle on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, or a baking sheet sprayed with Pam. 3. Spoon HALF of the spaghetti sauce lengthwise down the center of the dough, leaving 3" plain on either side. 4. Layer spinach, the turkey-bacon mixture, the Colby-Jack and Feta cheese on top. 5. Cut the plain dough on both sides of the filling into 8-10 strips. Fold strips up and over the filling, so that they overlap. Brush top with the milk and sprinkle with the Parmesan. 6. Bake about 12 minutes until done. Serve with remaining spaghetti sauce.

Notes: This is a great recipe for a special dinner. It is quick to make and bake and tastes great.
