Grilled Salmon with Brown Sugar Soy Glaze

A simple marinade, 15 minutes on the grill and voila--dinner is served!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds salmon filets
- Lemon pepper to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
- Salt to taste
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Method
Season salmon fillets with lemon pepper, garlic powder and salt. In a small bowl, stir together soy sauce, brown sugar and vegetable oil until sugar is dissolved. Place fish in a large baking pan with soy sauce mixture then turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Preheat a grill for medium heat. Lightly oil grill and place salmon on preheated grill. Cook salmon 6-8 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Notes: I often make the marinade and freeze the salmon in resealable bag directly with the marinade. I can take it out of the freezer the night before we want to grill and it's ready with no work at all.
