Use as many onions as you prefer. The onions are caramelized and combined with taco-seasoned ground beef on a pizza crust sprinkled with Cheddar.

Ingredients

  • 1 prepared pizza crust
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • Taco seasoning mix
  • Onion
  • Butter or olive oil
  • Garlic, thinly sliced
  • Cheddar cheese

Method

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Saute ground beef until brown; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix and set aside. Saute onions on low heat in butter or olive oil in another pan until caramelized. Add sliced garlic for another minute or two. Stir meat mixture and caramelized onions together. Spoon out mixture onto pizza crust and add cheddar cheese. When oven is ready, reduce temp to 425 and bake pizza about 8 to 10 minutes.

Notes: The caramelized onions really add a lot of flavor to the taco seasoning and beef. And for garlic lovers like myself, I love it.

Number of Servings: 8
