Marilyn's Scalloped Potatoes


Your family will think you slaved all day over these simple, but rich and delicious scalloped potatoes.



Ingredients:

  • 3 medium red bliss potatoes, peeled, sliced into a pan of water
  • 1/4 lb cheddar or Swiss cheese, sliced 3/4 cup skim milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Garlic cloves, sliced or minced

Method

Dry potato slices between paper towels to remove liquid. Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray and begin layering potato slices, cheese, butter (enough to moisten) and garlic to taste. When done layering pour milk over entire dish. Be sure to add some cheese on top and bake for 30-45 minutes at 375 degrees until potatoes are soft.

Notes: This drying of the potatoes sounds like work but it is not too bad, and OHHHHHHHHHH is it worth it when your family tastes it!!!
