Onion, garlic, mint, and cinnamon season the lamb very nicely and make for a great meatball. Currants add a great Middle Eastern flair.

  • Servings: 32

⅓ cup Minced Onion
1 Large Garlic Clove, minced
½ tsp Dried Mint
½ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Allspice
¼ tsp Cinnamon
1 lb Ground Lamb
1 cup Finely Crumbled Fresh Bread Crumbs
1 Large Egg, beaten
2 Tbsp Currants or Raisins
Prepared Hummus or Tzatziki Sauce

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except hummus or tzatziki, until well mixed. Form into 1 1/4 inch balls and arrange on a foil lined baking pan. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake meatballs 12-15 minutes or until cooked through. Arrange on a platter with toothpicks for easy serving.
