Pepper Jack Green Bean Casserole

Here's a new twist on the green bean casserole. Jack cheese with peppers and cumin add a Southwestern flavor.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 10 3/4oz. can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 C milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 C shredded Monterey jack with jalapeno cheese
  • 1 C diced red bell pepper
  • 1 t ground cumin
  • 2 9oz. packages frozen cut green beans, thawed
  • 2/3 C canned french fried onions 2/3 C french fried onions for topping

Method

COMBINE soup, milk and pepper in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish. MIX well. STIR in cheese, red pepper and cumin. FOLD in green beans and onions. BAKE at 350 for 30 min. STIR and SPRINKLE with onion ring topping. BAKE 5 min. more or until onions are golden.
