Seafood Tortellini

This creamy tortellini dish has crab, shrimp, mushrooms and peas. Top this with a fresh Alfredo sauce and Parmesan cheese for a delicious meal.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb 40-50 shrimp
  • 3/4 lbs fresh crab legs
  • 8 oz cheese tortellini, cooked
  • 1/2 oz oyster mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 pint half and half
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan and Romano cheese
  • 1/4 tsp rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp tarragon
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 slice medium red onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp flour

Method

Remove shell from fresh crab and shrimp. In a heavy skillet, on medium, heat olive oil and butter. Add onion, rosemary, thyme, basil, tarragon, onion and garlic. Saute about a minute. Add shrimp and saute about three minutes. Add crabmeat and mushrooms then continue to saute until crab and shrimp are firm. Remove crab, shrimp and mushrooms. Add remaining butter and whisk in flour. Whisk in half and half and milk and heat over moderate heat until thick. Place cooked tortellini, crab, shrimp, mushrooms and peas in sauce and heat until peas are warm. Mix in Parmesan and Romano cheeses.
