Shrimp and Scallop Linguine

Elegantly simple--shrimp and scallops in a white wine and garlic sauce with linguine.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp; frozen or fresh, uncooked preferred, deveined with tails on if desired
  • 1/2 lb sea scallops
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion or fresh onion
  • 1-2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 tesspoon cracked peper
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 12 oz can white clam sauce

Method

In a saute pan, add oil, garlic, onion and seasonings. Saute 2-3 minutes, add green onion, wine, butter and uncooked sea scallops. Simmer on low 5-6 minutes until scallops are opague. Add 12 oz white clam sauce and remaining seasonings, then simmer on low 6-8 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer 6-7 minutes. On warm plates, serve hot linguine topped with seafood sauce and parmesan cheese. Goes well with hot Italian bread and chilled white wine.
