This is a wonderful, easy, fast and tasty main dish. Frozen meatballs speed things up and so does jarred gravy. It is still homemade.

  • Servings: 8-10


2× 12 oz jars Mushroom or Beef Gravy, or 3 cups prepared brown gravy
1 lb sliced Mushrooms
2 Tbsp Butter
1 Large Onion, cut in chunks
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
¼ tsp Allspice
2 lb Frozen Meatballs, thawed
1 cup Sour Cream
12 oz Medium Egg Noodles, cooked and drained


Saute mushrooms in butter until tender. In a crock pot, combine mushrooms, gravy, onion, Worcestershire sauce and allspice. Stir meatballs into sauce then cover and cook on low for 6 hours. Gradually stir about 1/2 cup of hot gravy mixture into sour cream. Stir sour cream mixture into slow cooker mixture. Serve meatballs over hot buttered noodles.
