Super Fries

Russet potato wedges are dipped in buttermilk and seasoned flour, then deep fried until golden.
Ingredients
- 5 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cut in wedges
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons EACH salt and black pepper (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- Vegetable oil for frying

Method
Mix flour, salt, pepper, seasoning salt and baking powder in a large bowl. Pour buttermilk in a medium mixing bowl. Dip individual potato wedges into flour mixture, then buttermilk, then back into flour mixture. Lay on waxed paper until all potatoes are breaded. Fry in vegetable oil, using a large skillet, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Notes: Do not overcrowd skillet.
