Unstuffed Peppers

Unstuffed Peppers

1½ lb Ground Beef
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 Teas. Lawry's Seasoned Salt
1 Teas.
Black Pepper
2 Large Bell Peppers, any color, diced
1 Whole Yellow Onion,diced
2 cup Beef Gravy or Cream of Chicken or Tomato Soup
3 cup Diced Tomatoes
3 tsp White Wine Vinegar
1½ cup Cooked White or Brown Rice
4 Pita Pockets


In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown ground beef; drain and return to skillet. Stir in W. sauce,seasoned salt and black pepper, bell peppers,onion and gravy or soup. Simmer until peppers are tender, about 15 minutes. Add tomatoes; simmer 5 minutes longer. Remove from heat and add wine vinegar and rice. Stir until blended. Slice pita pockets in half. Spoon beef mixture into pita half and serve.
