Waffle Breakfast Panini

Frozen waffles are layered with crisp bacon, scrambled eggs, and American cheese, then toasted in a panini press or on a griddle. Serve this with butter and warmed syrup for dipping.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen waffles, thawed
  • 2 eggs, scrambled
  • 2 slices bacon, cooked crisp
  • 2 slices of Amercian cheese
  • 1 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup syrup, warmed

Method

Place one slice of cheese on one waffle; add slices of bacon, scrambled egg, and another slice of cheese. Finish with a second waffle. In a panini press place the waffle "sandwich," press and let cook about 2 minutes or until waffle turns golden and cheese has melted. Place on serving dish; top with butter and serve with syrup for dipping sauce.

 

Notes: You may use a griddle pan instead of a panini press. Great for a to-go sandwich.
